Month 10 (12/2/05-11/3/05)

Uncle Charles paid a visit. Mummy thinks we look similar.

Following my morning exercises on Mummy and Daddy's ab curler...

...I like nothing more than to play with Guard's toys. His seem so much more interesting - they even squeak when you squeeze them!

On 10th February I had my first day at nursery (see picture below). Mummy and Daddy took me along, and it was good fun. I'm going to be going every Thursday.

We went away for a long weekend at Valentines, and stayed at a place called Wolfen Mill in the Trough of Bowland.

I was still able to watch 'The Simpsons', though!

The scenery is very picturesque and the signs are funny!

Aha... that's why we saw that sign!

We've been eating out a little because we are away. Here I am having lunch in a cafe - they did some mashed potato for me specially.

Here's where we are staying. You can just about see me and Mummy in the picture, towards the bottom of a drainpipe.

Here's me and Mummy inside the communal lounge at Wolfen Mill.

The view here is lovely!

Watch this video of me admiring the view! (2.6MB)

We've also been for the occasional walk with Guard...

...and out for the occasional pub lunch.

Daddy's been helping me pull funny faces, too!

Back at Wolfen Mill, I've been crawling around with Guard. He is very tolerant of me.

I've really enjoyed our little holiday. Here is some more video footage from the trip:
Crawling to Daddy's shoe (3.2MB)
Crawling and sitting (3.0MB)
More crawling and more sitting (4.9MB)
Fun on the floor (3.9MB)

...and some more... (7.1MB)

My friend Guard (4.5MB)
...and, back home, playing with Guard's toy (2.3MB)

After our trip, we visited Grandma in Yorkshire. It was her birthday and we went out for a meal. From the left, there's me and Mummy, Grandma, Auntie Joan, Uncle Paddy, cousin Isaac and Uncle Charles.

Grandma seemed to enjoy the day out.

Isaac was funny... he kept pulling faces!

After lunch, Grandma introduced me to the world of gambling. I liked looking at all the flashing lights.

Back at Grandma's house, I had great fun on the piano!

Click here to watch me play! (2.0MB)
...and again (you'll need to tilt your head for this one) (2.4MB)
You can also watch me pull myself up (again, tilt your head) (3.1MB)

A week later it was Mummy's birthday.

I had egg for breakfast.

I really enjoy egg...

...but I don't like it when Mummy drops it!

I gave Mummy her presents...

...and Daddy baked a cake.

I couldn't quite eat it all but it was very tasty.

In the afternoon we went for a walk up to Kendal Castle. From left to right, you can see: a stranger, Grandma, Uncle Paddy, Sam the dog, the stranger's dog, me and Mummy, and Guard.

It is a little cold and windy up at the castle so I made sure I wrapped up well.

Back home, I like to help with the dishwasher now that I can pull myself up on to things.

In fact, I'll pull myself up into a standing position at pretty much every opportunity now.

Granny and Grandad are back from South Africa. Among other things, they brought me back a fun zebra puppet.

Here I am with Grandad. He is so brown that it's hard to spot him on the sofa.

I've been on the Mr. Men website with Daddy... we created our own Mr. Men character!

All this activity is making me very tired.

Mummy thinks I may have lost a little weight because I wasn't feeling so well for about a week. She is feeding me well, but I prefer not to bother with things like plates.

I've also started to try out a few different expressions. Here I am trying one of my more serious faces.
