Week 11 (23/7/04-29/7/04)
It's been Daddy's birthday this week, and Mummy and Daddy's first wedding anniversary. I bought Daddy a picture frame for his birthday and Granny and Grandad babysat for me, allowing Mummy and Daddy to go out for an anniversary dinner.
It's quite fun at Granny and Grandad's because they have Harry the Hedgehog there.

We've also had a visit from Uncle Charles and Caroline. Uncle Charles talks a lot.

He does take a good photograph, though.

After the excitement of Uncle Charles' visit, I found it hard to go to sleep and was still up at 3am.
The following night, Daddy gave me milk from a bottle to give Mummy a rest. It goes down well - and seems to come back up just as easily.

This was my biggest vomit ever. Just to exaggerate the mess, you'll notice that I'm urinating in the picture too!! (Luckily there was a shower curtain on the floor to protect the carpet.)
On Thursday, I had a picnic with Robbie, Jamie and some other boys next door but one. Here I am with Jamie and Suzanne.

Week 10 (16/7/04-22/7/04)
I went and visited all of Granny and Grandad's friends in and around Cartmel today, with Mummy and Granny. We saw so many people and I was very pleased to meet them. Among them was Father Robert who married Mummy and Daddy. We sorted out when I am going to be baptised.
After an exhausting day visiting, we popped back and saw Grandad in the garden.
Daddy went to Edinburgh in the afternoon, because Uncle Mark is having something called 'a stag do'. I wasn't invited unfortunately and have had to stay at home with Mummy.
Mummy's friends Helen and Lucy visited on Sunday; here I am with Lucy.
Daddy got back shortly afterwards, looking a little worse for wear.
On Wednesday, Grandma and her friend visited so that Mummy and Daddy could go out for dinner. This was their first evening out without me, and I was a good boy as usual.

Week 9 (9/7/04-15/7/04)
Went to Granny and Grandad's on Friday evening and met up with Uncle Mark and Auntie Jaymie who are getting ready for their wedding. I like the hammock at Granny and Grandad's!
Went to Mummy's friend's wedding at Alfriston near the south coast. That was a very long journey but I was a good boy for it. At the wedding, I really behaved myself and Mummy and Daddy's friends made a fuss of me.
Here I am with Mummy and Daddy.
And here I am with their friend from university - Richie.
And finally, here I am with Kerry, the bride. I didn't dare be sick on her even though she was wearing white!
On Tuesday I had my first set of injections. The nurse asked Daddy to hold my legs still for them. I screamed my head off and was not impressed. What are Mummy and Daddy playing at?!
Wednesday is Kendal Young Babies day and this week we did sleep management. Mummy pushed me all the way into town and all the way back up the hill. I think she will sleep well tonight.
Thursday is Massage Class and I opted for feeding instead of massage.

Back to Daddy
We visited Bob and Marlene today. They went to Mummy and Daddy's wedding last year, and sent me the present pictured on 30th June.
Afterwards, Mummy and I travelled back up to Cumbria to join Daddy. And this time I didn't cry on the journey.

Visit from Isaac
Cousin Isaac visited us for tea today!
Uncle Charles brought him round.
We watched Harry Potter and relaxed about the house.

Shopping is for girls!
I went shopping to the White Rose Centre with Grandma Sheila and Mummy today. Shopping is boring, but I behaved myself.
I was given a lovely wooden chair by Uncle Charles' friend, Graham. It's going to look great in my nursery. Here I am with the chair and Uncle Paddy.

More new faces
Last night was my first night away from home after returning from hospital. I slept well in my new cot.
Today I spent the day visiting Grandma's neighbours in Yorkshire. They all speak funnily - a little bit like Mummy.

Off to Yorkshire
Daddy has been a silly-billy and bumped the back of Mummy's car so Uncle Charles visited with Caroline today to pick it up, and took Mummy and I down to Yorkshire. Uncle Charles took a picture of the three of us before we left.
I don't normally cry in the car but this time I did. I demanded that we stop in a lay-by so that I could be fed.
When we arrived at Grandma Sheila's, there was a new cot awaiting with a vibrating bottom. That's the bottom of the cot that vibrates - not my bottom!

Jeremy Fisher
Daddy bathed me this morning (which I wasn't entirely happy with, I might add) and then read The Tale of Jeremy Fisher to me.

Granny and Grandad visited in the afternoon and we watched some of the Wimbledon women's final on television. A girl who is only 17 years old won!
Granny and Grandad are a funny colour because they've been in Spain.

I was passed around quite a bit but I was still in a good mood.

I'm not sure what I thought about Ted and Heffie mimicking me, though.

Heffie whispered to me that they were just having a little fun.

Trip to the supermarket
Not a great deal to report today. I went to Asda in the morning and this time we managed to park in the mother and baby section.
Once home, I had an afternoon of nappy changes, feeding and sleeping. I smiled a bit, too, but in this picture I have my worried look.

Growing fast
I went to baby massage with Mummy this morning and they concentrated on how to get wind out of me (which Mummy thinks will be very useful!).
I embarrassed Mummy a little by weeing on her during the relaxing massage. Nobody seemed to mind... except for Mummy, maybe!
The health visitor measured me and I am 60 centimetres long. That's more than 10% on my birth height and puts makes me very tall for a 7 week old.

Granny and Grandad have been away and visited me in the evening.
